Absolute Miami Water · Miami
Which system does your home need?
Five questions, about a minute. We ask what you actually notice at the tap, then tell you which system fixes it and what it costs installed.
Question 1 of 5
Is your home on city water or a private well?
It changes the answer completely, so we ask first.

Built on US Water Systems equipment
We buy our tanks, valves and membranes from US Water Systems, which has built water treatment equipment in the United States since 2003 and runs its operations out of Plainfield, Indiana and Tampa, Florida. We are their customer, not their dealer: nobody pays us to recommend a brand, and we are free to change suppliers the day a better one shows up.
Why this system
Catalytic carbon, not standard carbon
Standard activated carbon removes chlorine well and chloramine poorly. Catalytic carbon is treated to break the chloramine bond. Miami-Dade uses chloramine, so this is the part that matters here.
10-year media, not yearly cartridges
A backwashing tank cleans itself every few days and the media lasts 8 to 10 years on city water. Cartridge systems need a new filter every 6 to 12 months, which is where their real cost hides.
Metered regeneration, not a timer
The valve counts the gallons you actually use and regenerates only when the resin is spent. Timer valves regenerate on a schedule whether you were home or not, wasting roughly twice the salt and water.
10% cross-linked resin
Standard 8% resin breaks down faster in chlorinated municipal water. The 10% version costs more and lasts substantially longer on exactly the water we have.
Full 1" ports, 20 GPM
Undersized valves are why some systems drop your shower pressure when the washer runs. A 1" valve at 20 GPM keeps up with a three-bath house.
Parts any plumber can buy
Clack and Fleck valves are sold at every plumbing supply house in Florida. If we ever disappear, your system is still serviceable by anyone. That is not true of proprietary dealer valves.
